The church is also known as the Carcar Church and the second oldest church in the country that was built in 1859. The National Shrine of St. Joseph in Mandaue City

The church was attributed to Jesuits back in 1789 from the Augustinians who ministered the people of Mandaue before 1599 according to history books. The historic church was destroyed in 1922 by the earthquake and the reconstruction was completed in 1936.

Oslob Church

This church was built in the 19th Century and suffered and survived fire damages including one during the Japanese occupation in 1942 and yet still stands strong to this day.
